My car's crucial. An old Toyota that never lets me down, always full of petrol and an emergency overnight bag. I know exactly how long each route takes, which motorway services have decent toilets for changing, which hotels will take cash bookings without too many questions.
Rates change when I'm travelling. City clients expect to pay more, which makes sense given my transport costs. I'm not losing money driving two hours each way. My Galway rate is 20% higher than local, Limerick even more. Smart workers price in their actual expenses.
OPSEC matters more outside big cities. Small towns talk. I'm careful about who sees me, where I park, which hotels I use repeatedly. One wrong move and everyone knows your business.
Sometimes the travel's worth it. Better clients. More money. Less risk of running into someone who knows me or my family. Rural sex work isn't for the lazy.
