When I first came to Zurich from Czech Republic three years ago, everything about working in sex work felt complicated. Switzerland is not like home. Here everything is regulated. Documented. Controlled. I pay taxes. I have health insurance. I have work permit specifically for this profession.
German-speaking clients are different from what I knew before. Very precise. They want everything clear from beginning. No misunderstandings. Sometimes this makes things easier. Sometimes more stressful. I have learned to be direct. To explain exactly what services I provide. What costs. What boundaries.
My apartment is small but clean. Located in good district where police dont bother workers. I send most money back to my family. Parents are getting older. My younger brother wants to study. This work lets me help them in ways I could not before.
People who dont understand sex work think its simple. Its not. Its business. Professional. Requires skills. Emotional intelligence. Understanding of human needs. Not just physical. Sometimes clients want conversation. Connection. Sometimes they want something else entirely.
Switzerland gives me opportunity. I am grateful. But it is not always easy.
